Office of Diversity and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive campus environment by providing resources and opportunities that promote awareness, empathy, and sensitivity to the diverse lived experiences shaped by individual identities. We support members of the campus community in advocating for themselves and others, while advancing social justice, equality, and inclusion. The ODI also offers guidance on effective communication practices, with a focus on compassion, understanding, and respect.

Learning opportunities are everywhere you look at Capital. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion contributes by:

• Providing programming and support to students as they strive to be equity-minded, and we work to create an inclusive campus.
• Leading efforts in the recognition of affinity celebrations by supporting student organization programming and supplementing that program with additional events.
• Providing educational opportunities to increase cultural awareness, cultural humility, sense of belonging, and fostering connections with others.
