    What is the Kodály Certificate program?

    For students interested in pursuing certification in the Kodály philosophy, Capital's Kodály Institute also offers a certification program. Students will receive a Kodály Certificate after they have completed:    

    • Three levels of music courses
    • Two teaching videos
    • Folk song research and retrieval project
    • A chamber music performance
    Certificates will be awarded at the closing concert of each summer course.

    All students complete a final project. This can be done either during their final summer or during the following school year. The final project should be scheduled with the program director.

    Final Project

    Certification Program Tuition and Fees

    • Registration fee: $25
    • 2017 Certification fee: $210 per semester hour
    • 2017 Lodging (optional) $285 per week (does not include linens), double occupancy with air conditioning.
