The Main Event Brings Big Screen to the Capital Green

News-Main-Event-275Outdoor fun and the big screen will come to the Capital Green this summer with the premiere of the Main Event, a monthly mingle with movies, music, games and entertainment for the whole family.

The fun began Friday, May 24, with the Movies on Main feature, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, shown on a jumbo high-definition screen on the Capital Green — Capital's front lawn on Main Street, located just west of Memorial Gateway.

The Main Event will continue tonight with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, live music, area food trucks, cooking demonstrations by local chefs and more. The event is free and open to the public.

Festivities will start at 7 pm and the movie will begin at 9. Sponsored by Bexley Community Foundation, First Bexley Bank, the Drexel Theatre and Capital University, the Main Event is free and open to the public. So bring your lawn chairs and blankets and help us welcome summer to Bexley's Main Street.
