  • Resident Assistants

    Resident Assistants are advisors and role models who serve as an important link between students and the University. Being an RA provides opportunities for leadership and development, both personal and professional. RA’s have the ability to influence and contribute to students’ experiences by:

    • Establishing personal connections with individual students 
    • Assisting with personal and academic questions and concerns
    • Developing educational programs and services
    • Identifying counseling concerns
    • Interpreting and documenting violations of residence hall and other university policies

    1. LEARN—About the RA position. 

    Thoroughly review the RA position Description:

    Before applying, candidates should review and ask any questions they have about the position description. Successful candidates will be responsible for the requirements within.


     2. APPLY – Complete the RA Application Materials Online

    The online application will open on February 1st, and will close on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 5:00pm. The online application and 3 reference forms, must be submitted by this date. Candidates are responsible for directing their references to the online reference form.  


    3. ENGAGE—Participate in the selection process  

    Following completion of the application, RA candidates will be invited to participate in individual interviews. Interviews will take place the week of February 20, 2017. Candidates will be notified of hire decisions shortly thereafter.
