Rob Postma enters his third season as the head men's tennis coach.
In 2011-12, Postma led the Crusaders to an appearance in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals and mentored a pair of All-OAC selections in junior John Murray and freshman Kenny Duncan. In addition, Murray and senior Tommy Stein were picked Academic All-OAC.
In his first season at Capital, Postma coached senior Casey Filas to a slew of conference and national accolades. Those honors included being an All-OAC first team selection as well as being an academic all-conference and Capital One Academic All-District choice.
Postma graduated in 2002 from Wittenberg University, where he was a four-year letter winner in men's tennis. In 2001, he was an ITA doubles semi-finalist. During his 2002 campaign, the Tigers finished third in the North Coast Athletic Conference with a 4-1 win over Wooster in the consolation final. Postma helped his team to an 11-0 start, the best start in school history. He finished the season 14-3, which placed him sixth in the NCAC.
Postma earned his master's in business administration from Capital University in May 2011. He currently serves as head pro at Brookside Golf & Country Club and is USPTA certified.
