Alecia DennisAdmission Counselor
Alecia is an experienced event coordinator and helps plan many of our campus visit days. Alecia is passionate about students visiting campus because she believes that is how you find that “gut feeling” that you can call a school home. Alecia loves working with her students and will get to know you (and your parents) personally because every family is unique and valued. Alecia is committed to answering the questions that are important to you in your college search.

Jae DensonAssistant Director of AdmissionCoordinator of Multicultural Student Recruitment
Jae has years working in the admission field and is always ready to greet you with a smile and a kind word. (You may also see Jae dancing at our events or starring in a Capital video!) Jae works closely with many campus days such as the MLK Day of Learning and the Capital Scholars program and Collegiate Fellowship. Jae also coordinates newsletters for parents and multicultural students and is a great resource for anyone for advice on the college search.

Ashley EllisAdmission Counselor
Ashley plans our biggest events of the year – Fall and Spring Open House (a perfect first visit to Capital for any student!). As a former tour guide, Ashley coordinates our Student Ambassador Program and works hard to make sure our tour guides give you the best experience possible when you come to campus. After all, you want to know all the ins and outs of the place you will live for four years! Ashley loves to hit the road every fall and recruit students in her area. Ashley has the goal this year to visit every Ohio county she covers before the year is out!

Lindsey SherwoodAssistant Director of Admission
Lindsey is our resident social media expert and manages the Capital Admission Facebook and Twitter sites. Lindsey spends time (lots of it!) each day answering your questions and retweeting lots of Capital excitement! She also supervises our student telecounseling program and makes sure you have the chance to talk with current Capital students during your college search. As a Capital Alumni that came to Ohio from another state, Lindsey is a great resource for those coming far from home.

Sara ThompsonAssociate Director of Admission
Sara is a Capital graduate whose family has greatly contributed to the student body. With over 50 family members having attended the university, she has great stories to share about Capital. Sara’s alumni connections help her coordinate college fair volunteers. And as an expert event planner (having spent her undergrad at Capital as a board member for the event group AMP) she plans many of our campus events including scholarship competitions that award nearly 30 full-tuition awards each year.

Susanna MayoAssistant Director of AdmissionCoordinator of Conservatory Recruitment
Susanna loves music and attends many live concerts in her free time. Coming from a small town to the big city could be intimidating, but she fell in love with Columbus. (In fact, she met some of her closest friends on her first bus ride.) Susanna enjoys all this city has to offer - festivals, sports, restaurants and especially the music scene! Susanna spends lots of her time at the Conservatory of Music planning all of our audition days.

Amanda SohlDirector of Admission
Mandy loves working at Capital. She met her husband here and attended the university for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She personally signs all acceptance letters (with a purple pen, of course!) and is the first to welcome new students to Capital. Having spent time as the telecommunication student supervisor as an undergrad, she really enjoys interacting with students and their families.
