Applying to Capital
Apply online with the Capital Admission Application or you can submit the Common Application. Both ways to apply are free, do not require an essay and are easy to submit. This is the perfect time to apply. Nearly all (99 percent) of accepted first-year students receive a scholarship to attend Capital, and our average merit award last year totaled more than $19,000 renewable. Note to students, parents and high school counselors: Admission office mail is very heavy so if your application materials for the Common Application or the Capital Application have been sent recently, it’s possible a slight delay in processing could occur. Please note that we have extended our December 1 priority deadline to accommodate for this increase in volume and will guarantee the best admission and scholarship consideration to all students who apply and complete files by January 15. Transferring to Capital starts with the Capital Admission Application or you can submit the Common Application. Right now we are working with students Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. Nearly all (99 percent) of accepted full-time transfers receive a scholarship to attend Capital and we offer half-tuition awards to Phi Theta Kappa members and a full-tuition Transfer Fellowship competition for qualified applicants! Your admission application doubles as your scholarship application so you find out if you are accepted and what your award opportunities will be right away. Over 100 students each year transfer to Capital from another college or university.
International students are a growing population at Capital University and we welcome you! Visit the International admission page to learn about the admission application process. We accept both first-year and transfer international students and offer an ESL program. The majority of accepted, full-time, undergraduate international students receive a scholarship to attend Capital and we even offer full-tuition scholarship competitions for qualified applicants. More information about scholarship awards will be sent after you apply.

Working adult and transfer students interested in evening classes on Capital's main campus in Bexley can apply with the following application choices. Application fee is waived if applying online.
Register Nurses (RN) can complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through Capital's Nursing Department. Fill out a RN to BSN application and reference form (PDF). Application fee is waived if applying online.
Capital is now accepting applications for the Nursing Accelerated Program. Download an application. Adults applying to Capital's Nursing Accelerated Program should use this recommendation form (pdf) along with the accelerated program's application.
Apply to Capital's Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN) and choose from four different concentrates, including Nursing Education. Fill out the MSN application and reference form (PDF). Application fee is waived if applying online.

Capital offers three graduate music education programs. Earn your Master of Music in Music Education with an Instrumental, Jazz or Kodály emphasis. Fill out a master of music in music education application. Application fee is waived if applying online.
Capital can help adults with a bachelor’s degree earn their Ohio teaching licensure in a variety of areas. Apply online to the education licensure program today. Application fee is waived if applying online.
Capital's Law School offers Juris Doctorate, paralegal and other programs for nursing and business professionals. Apply to the Law School online.
The Kodály Institute at Capital offers a certification for students with a music background interested in pursuing certification in the Kodály philosophy. With courses meeting in July, it offers students the opportunity to continue their education and learn how to fully implement the Kodály philosophy program into their classrooms. Apply Here!
If you are interested in taking classes at Capital, but don't plan on working toward a degree, complete the Non-degree Student Application (PDF). Non-degree students may, at any time, apply for degree status at the University through the Admission Office or the Adult and Continuing Education Office.

Capital's Summer Institute in Science and Mathematics is an accelerated program that's designed to help you complete a full year of coursework in just eight weeks.
