The Core Courses
The first thing we do is provide you with a solid foundation. All MBA students must take the core courses (which are offered every trimester). During the fall and spring trimesters, most core courses meet once a week for 14 weeks. During the summer trimester, most courses meet twice a week for just seven weeks. The knowledge you gain in these classes will serve as a springboard to the advanced classes and specializations.
Specializations
If you’d like to not only customize your coursework but achieve a specialization as part of your degree as well, Capital has options. You can specialize in entrepreneurship, finance, leadership or marketing by focusing your elective credit hours in one of these areas. You can declare a specialization at any point prior to graduation, as long as you satisfy the program requirements. Specializations will be noted on your transcript.
Optional Dual Degrees: MBA/JD (Law) or MBA/MSN (Nursing)
Elective Courses
Unlike many universities, each MBA at Capital is unique. That’s because we allow you to customize your degree by concentrating on the subject matter that interests you most. Tailor your degree to get the skills you’ll use in your career. Elective courses are easy to fit into your schedule, and are developed based on students’ and employers’ evolving interests — so everything you learn is immediately applicable to the business world.
