The Blackmore Library will begin renovating its catalog next week to improve access and the user's search experience.

The current search interface will be discontinued beginning Monday, July 1, when the first phase of the renovation starts. Blackmore Library’s Classic Catalog will temporarily become the catalog search interface for materials within the library. From the Library’s main page, the Classic Catalog will be searchable by keyword, author, title and subject. Please note that these changes will not impact searching for books on OhioLINK or journal articles in any of our current databases.

During the second phase, which will take place in the coming academic year, the catalog search interface to the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) also will be upgraded to better serve library patrons. The EDS is a one-stop-shop search interface that will include results from the Classic Catalog, OhioLINK and virtually all Blackmore Library databases, including JSTOR and EBSCO.

If you have any questions or concerns about these upcoming changes, or if you need assistance searching in the classic catalog or any resource in the Blackmore Library, please contact the Reference Desk by email at, or by phone at 614-236-6351.
