Capital University’s sponsored group dental insurance plan is provided by Delta Dental. The plan permits in-network and out-of-network provider services with appropriate co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance. Eligibility Active three-quarter time or greater employees are eligible to enroll in the plan and participation in the program is optional. There is no waiting period for pre-existing conditions.
Dependents In general, the current spouse or domestic partner, children, stepchildren, and foster children of employees qualify as eligible dependents.
Enrollment New employees must enroll within the first 31 days of employment. After the initial enrollment period, employees are permitted to make changes within 31 days of a qualifying event, such as marriage, the birth or adoption of a child, or the loss of coverage. Otherwise, employees must wait until open enrollment to add or make changes to their coverage.
If the employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, please contact Human Resources for information on continuing coverage through COBRA.
