MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

We make it easy and award your Capital scholarships directly from the materials collected with your admission application. You can access your accept letter on your accepted student page. Learn more about our renewable scholarships. (We also have awards for transfer students.)

FAFSA AND FINANCIAL AID

FAFSA is your key to all need-based financial assistance. Capital’s FAFSA code is 003023. You can file for free online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA is used to calculate your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to determine what types of federal, state and institutional need-based aid you are eligible to receive.

FINANCIAL AID AWARDS

Your financial aid award will let you know your estimated cost to attend Capital and include your merit award(s) and any need-based aid that results from filing the FAFSA. There are a number of payment strategies for meeting your remaining costs at Capital.

We are here for you. Your admission counselor would like to personally discuss your financial aid award package with you and your family. We are happy to do a comparison of our award with other financial aid packages you have received to maximize your college choice options and help you find the best fit.

VISIT US

Even if you’ve already been on Capital’s campus, a visit after being accepted can be a game changer for your college search. Consider a personal meeting with your admission counselor and a tour with a current student. Call 614-236-6101 or schedule a visit to find your perfect opportunity. We can’t wait to see you soon!

STAY CONNECTED

Make sure you know your admission counselor as they can be your lifeline for any questions about Capital or your college decision in general! Our counselors can answer questions about majors, AP or college credit, scholarships, financial aid, campus life, Columbus, Bexley and more! Meet our counselors and find out who you are working with or email admission@capital.edu if you need help figuring it out. We love hearing from you!

ORIENTATION & CLASS SCHEDULING

After sending your deposit and joining our class, you will sign up for your Summer Orientation Day! Summer Orientation is a jam-packed (and super-fun) one day program where you meet with an adviser to finalize your fall class schedule, get your Capital photo ID picture and email address, complete financial paperwork and meet your fellow classmates. Information regarding Summer Orientation will be available starting in March.

RESIDENCE HALLS, MEAL PLANS & COMMUTER LIFE

Living in our residence halls is the best way to integrate yourself into campus life (can’t beat a 5 minute walk to literally everything you need!) and take advantage of all that Capital (and Bexley) offers. All first and second year students that live outside of a 30-mile radius of campus are required to live in the residence halls. Those that live within 30 miles are encouraged to do so but also have the option to commute.
