Bridging the Gap: Grants

Capital offers need-based financial assistance to help families meet the cost of attending Capital minus their family contribution. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) provides information necessary for determining the family contribution. The difference between the cost of attending Capital and the family financial contribution is considered financial need.

Grants

Grants are gift assistance that do not require repayment.

• Federal Pell Grants - federal money awarded to students who have financial need.


• Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG) - federal money awarded by the university to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need.


• Capital Grant-in-Aid - need-based gift money for transfer students that comes from Capital University.


• Cap Connect Grant - need-based gift money from Capital University.
• Capital Success Grant - a tuition specific grant given by Capital to help offset tuition increases for returning students.
