Capital University recognizes that conducting ethical research and protecting human subjects in research studies represent a shared responsibility among faculty, students, department heads, deans, university officials, and researchers.
The Capital University Institutional Review Board (IRB) is charged with aiding researchers in protecting human subjects of research conducted under its jurisdiction, and seeks to foster among members of the university community a positive, collective atmosphere in which designing and implementing research studies are based on both federal regulations and guidance, as well as internalized institutional values regarding ethical conduct.
