We cannot wait to welcome you to campus! Below is detailed information about what to expect when you arrive for move-in. Please review this information carefully, as you will be responsible for preparing several items prior to arrival on campus.

Move-In Day Instructions

First Year Students

Welcome to Capital! We are thrilled that you will be living on campus with us. Below are detailed driving instructions for arriving to campus. Please note that these instructions, as well as additional information, has also been sent to each resident directly via Capital University email. All move-in questions or concerns should be sent directly to residencelife@capital.edu.

Move-in Day Driving Directions

ALL MOVE-IN TRAFFIC:

From Main Street, head SOUTH on Pleasant Ridge Ave.
From Pleasant Ridge, move-in traffic will turn LEFT onto Mound Street, and then RIGHT immediately into the S1/S2 Parking lot where key pickup will occur.

SCHAAF HALL:

Leaving key pickup, Schaaf Hall residents will turn LEFT onto Pleasant Ridge Ave. from which traffic will turn RIGHT onto Astor Ave.
At Astor Ave. and College Ave., traffic will again Turn RIGHT and on to College Ave.
University volunteers will direct from College Ave. in to Schaaf lots to unload
Follow the PINK arrows for SH1.
Follow the YELLOW arrows for SH2.

After you have unloaded at Schaaf, you will exit turning RIGHT onto College Ave. Parking will be on your left behind the Department of Public Safety (S6 Lot) and at Trinity Seminary. See parking designation on above map.

COTTERMAN:

Leaving key pickup, Cotterman residents will turn RIGHT onto Pleasant Ridge Ave.
Traffic will then turn LEFT into the S3 parking lot where volunteers will direct them to unload.
Follow the GREEN arrows for CO.

After you have unloaded at Cotterman, you can park in the S3 lot as indicated on the map.

Returning Students

Welcome back! We are thrilled that you will be living on campus with us. Below are detailed driving instructions for your arrival to campus. Please note that these instructions, as well as additional information, will also be sent to each resident directly via Capital University email. Move-In Day Instructions for Returning Students

Please report directly to your assigned residential are to check-in and pick up your keys. Check-in is located in the following locations:

Saylor-Ackermann: Building Lobby
Cotterman: Building Lobby
College Ave. Residence Hall: Building Lobby
CU Apartments: 1st Floor Entrance Area
Capital Commons: Apartment 608
Sheridan Ave.: 713 Sheridan Ave (Look for tent)
Trinity Suites: Courtyard

Students arriving after 5pm

SA and Cotterman residents: Saylor-Ackermann Lobby
Neighborhood, College Ave, and Trinity Suites residents: College Ave. Lobby

After you have checked in and unloaded belongings, please follow instructions below to parking.

Saylor-Ackermann

Please park in the S7 LOT (next to Yochum) to unload your vehicle.
After unloading, please move your vehicle to parking. Saylor-Ackermann residents will park in the S1/S2 Lot. Please see the attached map for direction to parking.
Students should leave vehicles in designated parking areas until the completion of the move-in process. Lots will return to normal use after 5pm on Monday, August 21.

Cotterman Hall

Please park in the S3 LOT (nearest the entrance to the building) to unload your vehicle.
After unloading, please move your vehicle to parking. Cotterman residents will park in the SOUTH end if the S3 Lot. Please see the attached map for direction to parking.
Students should leave vehicles in designated parking areas until the completion of the move-in process. Lots will return to normal use after 5pm on Monday, August 21.

College Ave. Residence Hall

Please park in the S5 LOT (Located behind building) to unload your vehicle.
After unloading, please move your vehicle to parking. College Ave. residents will park in the S6 Lot, located directly behind Public Safety. Please see the attached map for direction to parking.
Students should leave vehicles in designated parking areas until the completion of the move-in process. Lots will return to normal use after 5pm on Monday, August 21.

Trinity Suites

Please park in the S8 LOT (Located next to Trinity Lutheran Seminary) to unload your vehicle.

Students can also unload along Sheridan Ave. and Main Street as parking allows. Please follow all posted signage from the City of Bexley.

After unloading, please move your vehicle to parking. Trinity Suite residents will park in the S8 Lot, located next to the Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Please see the attached map for direction to parking.
Students should leave vehicles in designated parking areas until the completion of the move-in process. Lots will return to normal use after 5pm on Monday, August 21.

Neighborhood

Students should report directly to their assigned housing area to park for move-in. After move-in, student vehicles can remain parked at their assigned lot. (Please be mindful of other students needing to move-in and accommodate use of closer parking spaces when possible).
