CurriculumThe program consists of four graduate-level courses for a total of 12 semester hours. NURS 637: Course and Curriculum Design (3)Provides opportunities to examine educational theories of teaching, learning and curriculum design. Includes development of personal teaching philosophy. Addresses trends and issues in nursing educationNURS 638: Teaching/Learning Strategies and Evaluation (3)Provides opportunities to apply teaching and learning strategies to promote optimal learning in classroom and clinical settings. Includes methods of test construction and learner evaluation.NURS 639: Technology in Education (3)Promotes effective use of technology in diverse educational settings. Builds on pedagogical strategies, curriculum design, computer applications and nursing informatics. Prerequisites: N530 and N637.NURS 755 Role Development in Advanced Nursing (3)You will get 50 hours of field experience in nursing education in association with an expert nursing faculty member.
