Nursing Major
  • Compassion. Experience. Skill.

For many patients, a professional nurse is the face of health care. Whether you are teaching an expectant mother how to eat healthy for two or monitoring an elderly person's chemotherapy session, your presence and expertise matter. Are you ready to step up to the challenge?

    More Than Just Nursing

As a professional nurse, you'll be called upon to care for all kinds of people in all kinds of medical and personal scenarios. At Capital, we give you:

    • Knowledge and hands-on nursing skills so you can respond confidently to any situation that arises
    • Critical-thinking and judgment skills so you can make safe decisions in fast-paced health-care settings
    • A liberal arts foundation so you can understand and respect the dignity of people of different faiths, ethnicities and economic backgrounds

We do more than treat illness. We emphasize the promotion of health and holism. As a Capital University nursing student, you'll learn to conduct comprehensive health assessments and teach health concepts effectively to a diverse population.

    The Traditional Undergraduate Nursing Program
