Enroll now in our automatic password management service, so you can change your password, reset your password, and unlock your account online without having to call the service desk.
We take online security seriously, which is why your capital.edu password will expire every 90 days. Don’t worry, we’ll send an email to your capital.edu address 15 days ahead of time, so you will have plenty of time to think of a new, strong password to protect your account.
Your password should be something you can easily remember, but it’s important that you use a strong password to protect your information. Everything you need to know (and probably more than you wanted to) about choosing a strong password is in this Cyber Security Tip provided by US-CERT.
No problem! If you enrolled in the automatic password management service, just visit pwchange.capital.edu and use password reset tool. Keep in mind that password resets may take up to 3 days.If you haven’t enrolled, don’t worry. Just contact the service desk at 614-236-6508 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you can log in again, take the opportunity to enroll in the automatic password management service so you can reset your password online if you forget it again.
If you’re trying to log in to a university system and you’re seeing errors like “user name and password not valid” or “user not recognized,” chances are your password has expired. But don’t panic. You can easily reset your password online at pwchange.capital.edu. If you don’t know your current password, and you haven’t enrolled in the automatic password management system, just contact the service desk at 614-236-6508 or email@example.com.
