If you suspect that a student may have plagiarised a paper, there are two plagiarism checking tools that you can use: Turnitin and SafeAssign. Requirements for using these services are that you use a digital text document of the student's work.

Turnitin

Turnitin is available as a webservice at turnitin.com or through Blackboard.

If you choose to use the webservice at turnitin.com, you and your students will need to create accounts with username and passwords. The username and passwords in the webservice turnitin will be different from your university username and password.

If you choose to use Turnitin through Blackboard, your university username and password will act as your credientials for the system. 

SafeAssign

SafeAssign is only available through Blackboard.
