Distinguished Senior Leader Award
  • This award seeks to recognize outstanding graduating seniors who have made a significant impact on the campus community during their time at Capital University. These outstanding seniors will be honored with an awards reception during commencement weekend.

    Criteria for the award

    • A high level of involvement in university organizations, programs or departments
    • Contributions that have had a significant impact on students or the university community
    • An interest in or advocacy for other students
    • Commitment to academics
    • Consistent ethical behavior and exemplification of the mission of the university

    Student Nomination

    Please nominate a graduating senior who has made a significant difference in the programs, organizations and/or departments with which you work. All eligible nominees must be in good judicial and academic standing with Capital University.
    To nominate a student, please respond to the six items listed below. Selections will be based on your responses. All nominations must be in this format. Nominations not in this format will not be considered.
    You may find that composing your answers in a word processing program and then copying and pasting them into the fields below is easier than entering them directly.

    A one page letter of recommendation is required for this student to be considered. Please consider to include a response to following prompts within the letter:
    • Examples of the student's contributions and impact to the campus community
    • Explain how the student has demonstrated an interest and/or advocacy for other students
    • Describe ways in which the student has show consistent ethical behavior and/or exemplification of the mission of the university
    Letters of recommendation must be e-mailed to sce@capital.edu. All applications and letters of recommendation are due Friday, April 4 by 5pm.
