    Workshops

    JULY 23, 2016
    OUT OF THE 4-PATTERN AND INTO THE HEART
    This special 1/2 day Workshop presented by Dr. Lynda Hasseler, Director of Choral Activities at Capital University, will provide examples of a variety of choral warm-ups, exercises and rehearsal and conducting techniques designed to target vocal/choral techniques, expressiveness and artistry. Examples include exercises to address breath energy, tone color/s, resonance, rhythmic integrity, blend and balance, expressive diction, artful phrasing, and beautiful tone. Methods for selecting interesting choral literature and developing artful concert programming will also be shared. Attendees will be actively engaged in the workshop by singing, moving, rehearsing, and conducting. 

    Cost: $65 (non-credit)
    Free for Kodály Summer students: There is no cost for students registered for the Kodaly Summer course held July 18 - Aug. 5, 2016.
