  • Transcript Requests


    Transcript requests may now be placed online. Online requests must be paid with credit card. Requests may also be made via postal mail and by visiting the Registrar’s Office using cash, check, money order or credit card. Fax requests are no longer acceptable. Transcript requests will not be processed without your payment and signature. All accounts must be paid before a transcript is issued.

    Online Requests

    Requesting a transcript online is a two-step process

    Step 1 

    Use our online order form to pay by credit card.

    Upon receiving your request, the Registrar’s Office will send you an email confirmation. This email will contain a link to the Online Signature Release Form that you must print, sign and fax or mail to the Registrar’s Office.

    Step 2 

    Once you receive your confirmation email, complete and return the Signature Release form (PDF).

    Mail and In-person Requests

    To order a transcript via postal mail or in person and pay by check or money order, please print and complete our mail order form (PDF).

    The first transcript you ever request from Capital University is furnished, at no charge, to each student upon written request. This offer is only available through postal mail and in person requests. Thereafter, the following fees apply to transcript orders:

    • $5.00 per transcript for orders delivered via postal mail and to be picked-up. (You must allow 24 hours processing time before pick-up.)
    • $10.00 per transcript for orders provided during same business day.


    There is an additional $20.00 charge for UPS delivery of any order.

    About Transcript Requests

    Only official transcripts will be mailed. All transcripts mailed to the student will be stamped "Issued to the Student". Photo ID is required when picking up in person. Written permission of the student is required to pick-up a transcript other than your own.

    If you are not using the Transcript Request Form, please submit your request in writing including your name (any former names), Social Security Number, date of birth, and dates of attendance. This information will assist us in locating your transcript.

    In keeping with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (1974) official transcripts may be sent to the student or to anyone designated by the student and are not released without written permission of the student.

    Unofficial copies of the academic record are issued only to students currently enrolled or at the request of the current student's advisor. Please allow a minimum of one working day for preparations of the unofficial record.

    Current students on scholarships may occasionally need an official copy of their transcripts. The fee will be waived upon presentation of a statement from the agency awarding the scholarship that a transcript is needed. These requests must be made by visiting the Registrar’s Office in Yochum Hall.

    Law School Alumni

    Capital law alumni can get transcripts by contacting the Law School's registrar's office. Law alumni can download the appropriate forms from the Law School's Web site.
