Capital University offers several tuition benefits for employees and their families. Each benefit is outlined below. For more information on this program, please review the Tuition Benefit Policy (PDF) or contact Human Resources.
Eligibility Active full time employees with at least one year of continuous service are eligible to participate.
Enrollment Employees must complete a Tuition Benefit Application (PDF) for each family member interested in participation and submit it to the Human Resources Office for verification of eligibility. Applications should be completed by May 1 for the upcoming academic year. (It is recommended that tuition exchange applications be submitted by December 1.)
Tuition Remission at Capital University The Tuition Remission Program at Capital University assists employees and their families to advance their personal and professional development by providing tuition assistance for credit courses at Capital University. Employees may also articipate in graduate level coursework if the coursework is deemed job related. See the Employee Graduate Coursework Authorization form (PDF) for additional information.
Tuition Exchange for Dependent Children Attending Other Institutions The Tuition Exchange Program is designed to assist employees in meeting the cost of college tuition for their children who attend a member school at one of the qualifying exchange programs. Admission and tuition are not guaranteed. Tuition exchange scholarships are awarded by the member institutions according to their own criteria, and the value and duration of each award may be restricted.
Tuition Payment for Dependent Children Attending Other Institutions (Inactive) The Tuition Payment program for dependent children assists grandfathered faculty and administrators hired prior to January 1, 2004 in meeting the cost of college tuition for their children who attend undergraduate programs at accredited colleges or universities other than Capital University.
